The Dennelisse LHCSA and Lower West Side Homecare banded together again this year to form the Coalition of Hope to raise funds and walk together to fight breast cancer. This makes the fourth year that the Coalition of Hope has gathered in Central Park to participate in the Making Strides Against Cancer Walk put on by the American Cancer Society. Over 50,000 walkers came to the 72nd Street Bandshell in Central Park on October 15th, 2017 and the event raised $2,380,946.20 and counting.
“As you all know breast cancer rips through friends and families, but because of people like you we are inching ever closer to a cure so those affected will feel hope once again.” – Jorge Ines, Business Development Supervisor for Dennelisse and Coalition of Hope Organizer.
12 of Dennelisse’s employees and friends came together to form the Coalition of Hope at this year’s walk and more and more participants join Dennelisse every year. Dennelisse also doubled the amount of donations from 2016, increasing the money raised from $700.00 last year to more than $1539.00 this year. We are also working on expanding our team’s fundraising methods to hit and surpass our new $1500.00 target for 2018. The Coalition of Hope thanks all of their 2017 donors for making their contribution to the American Cancer Society possible.
